Hello, I
would like to know how the people picking the winners deal with
both mailed entries and on line entries. What exactly happens? Are
the mailed entries given as much "weight" as the on line
entries? Do they type out the E-mail entries? Or do they enter the
mailed entries into a computer? I send in multiple entries when
allowed...am I wasting my time? Thanks very much. Pam
Hi Pam, Offline
entries are supposed to be treated with the same weight as online.
Depending on the sponsor and the administrator in charge of the
drawing, there are various ways to include the offline entries.
Sometimes, the data is entered into the database. When this is the
case, the rules will usually specify that the entries be placed
on a postcard as this is much quicker than opening an envelope.
Other times, all of the envelopes are numbered. The numbered range
is included into the database with the online entries. If the number
of an offline entry comes up, the envelope is opened. The rest are
not, or at least not at that time. Sometimes they will later be
sent to a data entry house to enter the data for re-marketing efforts.
These are just a few of the ways in which drawings are held. Reputable
sweepstakes administrators go to great lengths to ensure that they
are following the rules and that all entries are given equal opportunity
to win. You are definitely not wasting your time by mailing your
entries.
I enter
between 150-200 sweepstakes a day. I have been doing this for over
a year and a half without any wins - WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?? Is
there some secret to winning that I don't know about?
Are you mainly
entering online or offline sweepstakes? Many people swear they have
better luck with the offline sweepstakes. Are you entering the online
sweepstakes that you want to win the maximum allowed times? By entering
as often as the rules allow, you will greatly increase your chances
of winning.
Please take a few minutes to enter The Sweepstakes Wire's co-sponsored
sweepstakes. Because we are a fairly new site, there are not as
many entries and you will have a greater chance of winning. http://www.sweepstakes.bz/sweepstakes/currentpromos.asp
